It applies to mobile phone numbers and messaging-consent data collected when you opt-in to receive text or RCS messages from WorkOnward.
No Mobile Information Sharing with Third Parties. WorkOnward does not share, sell, rent, lease, transfer, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers, text-messaging opt-in/consent information, or any data collected through our SMS, MMS, or RCS messaging programs to any third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Information We Collect Through SMS/RCS
When you opt-in to receive messages from WorkOnward, we may collect:
- Your mobile phone number.
- The date, time, and method by which you provided consent (your opt-in record).
- The content of messages you exchange with WorkOnward (e.g., HELP, STOP, START replies and other inbound messages).
- Message delivery status (delivered, failed, read, etc.) provided by carriers and our messaging service providers.
- Your opt-out status and the date/time of any opt-out request.
How We Use This Information
We use the information collected through our SMS, MMS, and RCS programs only to:
- Send you the service-related messages you have opted in to receive (for example: account notifications, interview confirmations and reminders, application and hiring updates, job alerts, two-factor authentication codes, and other transactional or operational messages).
- Respond to your inbound messages.
- Honor opt-out, HELP, and START requests, and maintain a do-not-message list.
- Maintain records of consent as required by law and by mobile carrier compliance requirements (including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices).
- Diagnose technical issues and monitor the quality and security of the messaging service.
Disclosure to Messaging Service Providers
We use trusted third-party messaging service providers (such as our SMS/RCS messaging platform vendor and downstream mobile carriers) to deliver messages on our behalf. These providers may access your mobile phone number and message content solely to transmit and deliver messages and to provide the messaging service. They are contractually obligated to protect your information and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing or any purpose other than providing services to WorkOnward.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WorkOnward, our users, or others.
Your Choices and Opt-Out
- Opt-Out: You may opt-out of receiving SMS, MMS, or RCS messages from WorkOnward at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and will not send you further marketing or service messages through that channel unless you opt back in.
- HELP: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at [email protected].
- Re-Subscription: If you wish to resume receiving messages after opting out, you may reply START or sign up again through the WorkOnward app or website.
Data Retention
We retain mobile phone numbers and records of consent for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Opt-out records are retained for as long as necessary to ensure we do not send further messages to a number that has opted out.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, depending on your mobile carrier plan. WorkOnward does not charge you for the messages themselves; any charges are imposed by your wireless provider. Please consult your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
Security of Mobile Information
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect mobile phone numbers and related messaging data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
